Dancin’ Newz –  August 2010 Issue

 

NEXT CHAPTER DANCE:  Saturday, Sept. 11

  • 7:00 – 11:00pm. 
  • Arthur Murray Studio - Phoenix, 1210 E. Indian School Rd.
         (cross street 12th St.) Parking behind the bldg.
  • Class (TBA) included at 7:15, taught by guest instructors, Emanuel Vaceanu & Lisa Spiegelman.
  • Performances, light refreshments, mixers, dance hosts.

    2. We’re now halfway sold out, so reserve your spots now - don’t miss out!

  • Location: We’re back to the newly renovated San Tan Ballroom at the Cottonwood Country Club, 25630 Brentwood Dr., Sun Lakes, AZ  85248.
  • Cottonwood Phone Number:  480-895-0339.
  • Time: Doors open at 6:00 for registration, no-host cocktail bar and open dancing. Sit-down dinner served at 7:00.  General dancing and entertainment from 8-11pm.
  • Dinner: Two choices again this year – either chicken chasseur or grilled salmon. When purchasing admission, please tell Sherry your dinner choice.
  • Music: Dance to the terrific tunes of Colorado Connection – vocalists, entertainers & DJs, Rick and Jacquie Silva.
  • Pro Show:  Chad & Marie Burson will enthrall us with a three-dance performance. Chad & Marie are two-time Open Professional International Standard Champions of the Colorado Star Ball.  Visit: http://www.chadandmarieburson.com/
  • Admission Fees: $35 for members; $45 for non-members of USA Dance.
  • Limited Admission:  This year will be limited to 200 guests, so please purchase admission as quickly as you can.

·         Meeting begins at 12:15, but please arrive by 12 if you are going to order lunch.

TWO NEW CLASSES with CHAD & MARIE BURSON

 

1)   Ballroom and Latin Social Dance Class

  • 4-week classes to learn variety of social dances, incl. swing, salsa, rumba, waltz, tango and foxtrot
  • Every Thursday, 7-8pm, starting Sept. 2 with 2 free introductory classes on August 19 and 26

  • Every Saturday night, starting August 28
