USA Dance Phoenix Chapter

Hello, Dancers!

Our Next Chapter Dance is
Saturday, September 12

East Coast Swing lesson at 7:15 by Holly Udy-Meekin
Performances, light refreshments, mixers, and dance hosts.

This will be a theme dance: Dancing thru the Decades
Costumes are encouraged but not required. Costumes can be anything from Roaring '20s to modern day attire.

Music will start with the 1920s and move thru to current. About 100 years' worth of songs. In most cases, we will play the original artist's original release, but for a few we use the original release date, but a later artist or remastered version to ensure quality.

12:30 - 1:15 Bolero by Diana Berry followed by few practice songs
1:30 - 2:15 Tango by Jenell Maranto followed by a few practice songs.
2:30 - 3:15 Regular dance music.

Saturday, October 24th at IronOaks at Oakwood Country Club

TIME: Doors open at 6:00 for registration, no-host cocktail bar and open dancing.
Sit-down dinner served at 7:00. General dancing and entertainment from 8-11pm.

Dinner Choices:
Salmon - Fresh Atlantic Salmon served with Caramelized Onion Raspberry Sauce
Sirloin Steak - Top Sirloin Steak (cooked medium) marinated in Bordeaux wine topped with Rosemary Crema

Both entrees include roasted red potatoes and chef's veggies and flourless chocolate cake for dessert.
Gluten Free and Vegetarian meals are available upon request.

Very Important Information: Enter at EJ Robson Blvd and Riggs Road.

ENTERTAINMENT: Music will be provided by DJ Girl Wonder (aka Val Hunt) with a tremendous selection of ballroom dancing music to keep you up and dancing and your toes tapping throughout the evening.
PERFORMANCE: Donovan Dominguez and Rose Dimov will delight us with a spectacular professional show.

West Coast Swing Styling and Footwork Variation Workshop by Devorah Kastner and Thomas Carter

Improve your social dancing and Jack n' Jill competition dancing by learn styling and footwork variations for West Coast Swing. Work on syncopations, cool footwork, anchor step variations, body movements, and stylizing without disturbing your partner. For both leaders and followers.
Pre-requisite: Know your basics.

Mythical Masquerade
ASU Devil DanceSport's fall fundraiser. Participants are encouraged to dress up in cocktail or formal attire, or if you have an outfit that reflects the festive atmosphere of the Greek, Roman, or Egyptian mythology, come in costume.
